Campus ID card information for new students joining 2024-2025 academic year.
UK students studying on campus:
- Before a card can be printed for you, you will need to ensure that you are fully enrolled. This means that all e:Vision enrolment tasks will need to be completed, including uploading a photo and carrying out an ID check. Enrolling between 01 January 2025 and 31 January 2025?
- Your card will be generated and posted to your term time contact address the next working day after you have completed all of your enrolment tasks. Please ensure that your contact address is up to date, complete and has a UK postcode.
- If you do not receive your card in the post after 5 working days, please contact the library team.
Enrolling after February 01 2025 ?
- You must visit one of the libraries to request your ID card
- you will collect your lanyards and cardholders from your faculty during induction.
International students studying on campus:
- Once you have enrolled and uploaded a photo your card will be produced and delivered to the library where you can collect it.
- Please allow 2-3 working days following enrollment for your card to be available for collection.

- Cardholders and lanyards will be available from your Faculty.
Research, Online, and Distance Learning students:
- You will not automatically be issued with an ID card. Please see the relevant FAQ for more information:

'I am a new Online or Distance Learning student, how do I get my ID card?'
TNE and partner institution students:
- You will not automatically be issued with an ID card. If you would like one, please get in touch with the institution you are studying at for advice.
Previous and Current Students:
- If you have previously studied at the university, you will only be issued a new ID card if there has been a gap of more than 1 year since you last studied with us.
- If you are already a current student or there has been a gap in your studies of less than 1 year and you need a replacement ID card, please see our FAQ ‘I need a new or replacement University ID card, how do I get one?’
