Academic staff - my access to online journal articles is restricted, why?

Access to the University's online resource subscriptions - including e-books, journal articles and databases - is limited to registered University of Wolverhampton staff and students only due to licensing restrictions.

In terms of academic staff, this means you would need to have valid university HR and payroll records, including being registered on Agresso. As part of these records, a checkbox needs to be ticked to enable your access to electronic resources. Please contact the IT Service Desk to check if you have the 'Athens flag' or not.

Visiting Lecturers and Honorary Research Fellows may need to check with HR or their line managers to confirm your entitlement to get access. Your line manager may need to raise a help ticket on the HR support portal on your behalf.

UK-based and TNE external staff who work at and are employed by partner schools and colleges unfortunately fall outside of our licensing arrangements, and are therefore usually not permitted to access electronic resources.
