Why do I get daily emails about returning my library book(s)?
Last Updated: 09.Jun.2025 Views: 9

If your book(s) need to be returned, our Library system will automatically send an email to your University email address to let you know the date by which the item needs to be brought back to us.

The whole process is automated and runs daily - every day that you have an item due for return - even if you have already had an email about it the day before.

There is no way for us to turn this setting off, not even if you have already contacted us to advise when you will be returning the item(s).

We appreciate this can be frustrating to some of our customers and apologise for any inconvenience the repetition may cause. Our priority in these instances is to ensure the book returns to stock in readiness for the next borrower, and to help you avoid being fined for late return of items.
