A Serious Case Review is a particular type of document that some students may need to refer to.
Unfortunately they don't follow a common structure or layout or even have a consistent author type - they can be written by named author(s) or by an organisation or department. This variation in approach is because most are undertaken by local Councils, so each one is written according to each Council's internal policy for the handling of a Review.
These documents could often be classed as 'Research reports' (login required) for referencing purposes. The Research reports template gives this as a structure for the reference: Name of organisation or institution (Year of publication) Title. Reference number (if available). Place of publication: Publisher or Available at: DOI or URL (Accessed: date).
However, notable cases can result in a whole host of documentation so we would encourage you to contact the Library for further advice.
