There are many ways you can get support with your academic writing from the Library:

• A wide range of online study skills guides are available to download and print. These can be found in the dedicated Skills for Learning area of the Library website.
• Skills workshops are also available. Workshops include Harvard Referencing and an Introduction to Academic writing. You can see which courses are running and book places on them here.
• You should automatically be enrolled on the Skills for Learning - Introduction to Academic Study Skills course on Canvas. It has an introduction to academic writing section.
• Alongside this, one-to-one support is also available.
• If you would like to arrange a virtual appointment please use the online form.
• The Library also has a large collection of study skills books - a search for 'academic writing' on the LibrarySearch catalogue should find suitable books you can read in print and/or online.
• Depending on which Faculty you study with, there may be additional skills support available. Please contact your Faculty for more information.
